bakery in the 19th century. It is a traditional stone
cottage and has been extensively refurbished but retains many
original features such as the inglenook fireplace, bread oven
and exposed beams. The 2 bedroom cottage is mid terrace with its own
parking and secluded garden with views across the Vale of
Montgomery and Vale of Kerry.

Sitting Room and Entrance Porch
The entrance porch leads into the sitting / dining room with
solid oak flooring throughout. The room has an inglenook fireplace
housing an original cast iron range and bread oven. The
exposed beams in the ceiling and the log burning stove add to
the cosy ambience. There is satellite TV and various games and jigsaw
puzzles are available. The sitting room leads to the kitchen
and also the stairway via doors.
Master bedroom
The
master bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets, a large
hanging wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is an attractive
original Victorian tiled fireplace. The window looks out over the garden and has a lovely view
over the Vale of Montgomery towards the north east.
Single bedroom and bathroom
The single bedroom has a single bed and chest of drawers.
Access to the bathroom is through this room.
The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, electric towel rail.
Kitchen and walled yard
The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher,
electric oven with grill and ceramic hob, microwave, toaster,
kettle.
To the rear of the property is a small fully enclosed walled
yard with a door to the kitchen. Ideal area to leave pets or for
them to get some
fresh air without risk of running off.
Garden and Parking
 The
private garden is at the front of the cottage
and has a lawned area surrounded by mature shrubs. A
outdoor table
and chairs are provided. The garden is
fully enclosed and there is plenty of room for a BBQ.
There is parking for 1 car in the private drive adjacent to the
garden.
Setting of Hodley, Vale of Montgomery
Hamlet of Hodley, Kerry viewed towards the West. Holly Cottage is down a
lane in the small group of houses.
There are public footpaths
easily accessible from Hodley which lead onto the Vale of
Montgomery and also the Vale of Kerry.
Guests are welcome to use the games room, tennis court, play
area and all other facilities at The Forest.
